THE KLR650, THE NINJA ZX10R, THE NINJA ZX14 AND NOW THEIR 2007
BEST SELLER THE NINJA 250 A BIKE SO PERFECT FOR IT'S PURPOSE
THAT IT HAS REMAINED VIRTUALLY UNCHANGED FROM 1988-2007......
BIG GREEN IS NOTORIOUS FOR BUILDING BIKES WITH LONGEVITY. THE
NINJA ZX11 1990-2001 AND THE KLR650 1987-2007 ALSO REVISED FOR
2008. THE CHANGES RUN THROUGH EVERY ASPECT OF THE NEW 25O THE
BIGGEST, AND IN MY OPINION THE MOST NEEDED, WAS TO THE EXTERIOR.
FOR 20yrs AGO IT WAS SEXXY BUT OVER THE YEARS THE BIKES CAPABILITY
SOLD IT NOT IT'S CLASSIC LOOK. THE 08 IS SLEEKER, THE OLD SCHOOL
BANANNA SEAT IS GONE. SCRAPPED FOR THE TWO SEAT LOOK OF TODAY. IT
EVEN HAS A COWL FOR THE REAR SEAT. WITH THIS NEW LOOK IT COULD
EASYLY BE MISTAKIN FOR ITS BIGGER SIBLINGS THE ZX6 & ZX10. THE
SEAT HIGHT IS SLIGHTLY HIGHER BUT STILL LOW ENOUGH TO GET BOTH
FEET FLAT ON THE GROUND. THE ERGOS ARE STILL JUST AS USER FRINDLY
AS BEFORE. THE SPORT-TOURING RIDING POSITION MAKES A GREAT FOR
COMMUTING, BACK ROAD EXCURSIONS AND RUNNING AROUND TOWN. THEY
ADDED A LARGE FUEL GAGE. IT'S THE SAME SIZE AS THE TACHOMETER,
WICH YOU MIGHT WANT TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO BECAUSE THE ENGION
REDESIGN WAS AIMED AT ADDING MORE LOW-END AND MID RANGE TORQUE.
THE HEAD HAS RESHAPED INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS,A NEWLEY SHAPED
COMBUSTION CHAMBER AND THINNER VALVES. CAM TIMING WAS ALSO REVISED
THE AMERICAN VERSION USES TWO KEIHIN CARBERATORS WITH JETTING
REVISED FOR THE NEW ENGINE THE EUROPEAN VERSION COMES WITH FUEL
INJECTION. THE REASON FOR THE DIFFERENCE IS ON THE PRICE TAG.
WHEM KAWASAKI ASKED NINJA250 BUYERS TO RANK THE LEVEL OF IMPORTANCE
OF DIFRENT ASPECTS OF THE BIKE, THEY PLACED "PRICE"NUMBER ONE
SO THEY CHOSE TO KEEP THE COST DOWN BY GOING WITH THE CARBS
INSTEAD OF FUEL INJECTION. KAWS EUROPEAN DIVISON ON THE OTHER
HAND FELT THEY NEEDED FUEL INJECTION TO SELL THE NINJA 250 IN EUROPE.
EITHER WAY THE EMISSIONS IS NO PROBLEM AND THE 250R IS 50 STATE
LEGAL IT'S EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS TWO CATALYZERS. ALONG WITH ALL THE
REDESIGNED GO POWER TO THE NINJA250 THERE IS ADDED WHOA POWER FROM
THE SINGLEDISC UP FRONT AND PETAL DISCS FRONT AND REAR. THE KAYABA
REAR SHOCK IS NOW ADJUSTABLE FOR PRELOAD. THE 250 ALSO HAS MORE
STABILITY IN THE FORM OF 17INCH SIX-SPOKED WHEELS, UP FROM THE 16
INCHES. THE MODERN SIZE ALLOWS FOR A GREATER CHOICE OF TIRES.
THE NINJA 250 FEELS LIKE A BIKE ON THE 17s. THIS NINJA 250R IS
EVERYTHING IT WAS BEFORE AND EVERYTHING IT WAS MISSING. THIS IS
A GREAT BIKE FOR THE NEWCOMERS TO THE SEASOND RIDERS THAT ENJOY
THE QUALITY IN RIDING A MOTORCYCLE FOR THE PURPOSE IT WAS BUILT.
